Today, An Island Oasis is a getaway for visitors to the Southernmost City. Travelers flock to the island year-round, and for many, an Island Oasis is the quintessential Key West guest house.
It is a quiet retreat surrounded by tall palms, lush foliage and exotic flowers. Behind the picket fence, the white estate is framed by beautiful green gardens.
All of our rooms are clean and comfortable and have private baths, air conditioning, ceiling fans, cable TV and free wireless internet. Most rooms have king sized beds, and kitchenettes are available. Some rooms have trundle beds or futons for additional guests or just for lounging. Each room has a microwave, refrigerator and coffeemaker. Hair dryers, irons and ironing boards are available at the front desk for your convenience.
Our Key West inn retains its majestic Bahamian-style architecture. The grand “Conch” house was built in 1940. In its more than 70 years, the estate has survived two hurricanes. It has original Dade County pine, which builders commonly used for its durability and resistance to pests. The “Conch” house style was brought to Key West in the 1800s and early 1900s by Bahamians, many of them shipbuilders. These homes are constructed of wood and are designed with high ceilings and large windows to allow breezes to naturally cool in the warm climate.
